Giving Opportunities

$6 for 60 Kids Team!

The $6 for 60 Team is our invitation to you, our Camp Family, to join the Scholarship Support Team. This team helps make it possible for the many financially challenged families to join the fun at Camp All-American this year!

To reach our goal, we need 2,000 families to add $6 to their Camp registration as a scholarship donation. If you choose to participate, you will be helping send 60 children to camp this summer that otherwise will not be able to.

Special Designations & General Gifts

Donate 1 full week of camp ($199) or more for a specific child or family in need. This may be done either with their knowledge or anonymously. You might consider donating a week of camp to a family in your community who is in need, a child who recently lost a parent, or in memory of someone.

Corporate

Many companies (small and large) would love to help ease the burden of many of their single parent work force by helping them with childcare. However they don't have the expertise or the money to commit to this undertaking. Becoming a corporate member of the Scholarship Support Team is a great alternative.

Contact Jay Martin at jaym@perimeter.org or 678-405-2203.

Any donation given to the Camp All-American Scholarship fund will be allocated with 70% designated to families from your company and 30% to be used for others in the community.

Year End

Anyone at anytime can make a tax deductible donation to the Camp All-American Scholarship Fund. There is not minimum donation required. Every dollar you give will go directly to paying the tuition for a needy child to attend Camp All-American or another of our ministry programs.

Is it Tax Deductible? Absolutely!

You'll instantly receive an email confirmation with a statement that can be used as your tax receipt.

Where does the money go?

100% of your donation will be designated to the Camp All-American Scholarship Fund which is solely used to send children from financially burdened families to camp each summer. A very dedicated committee reviews all scholarship applications each year to ensure that your donation is used as wisely as possible.

Is there really a need? Yes!

A very real one! According to the 2000 Census over 18,000 families within an 8 mile radius of Camp All-American are living at or below poverty.

Is it working? Yes! In 2010

9 out of 10 assisted campers were from single parent families.

73 families were helped.

121 children were able to attend Camp All-American.

433 weeks of camp were given away.

Is this a new program? No.

19 years ago Camp All-American was started as a 501c3 ministry to help single moms and dads provide the best summer camping experience for their children while they worked to provide for the basic needs of their families. At this time most of the program and administrative costs were covered by individual donors; enabling children from single parent homes and others in need, to attend a high quality summer program at little or no cost.

While Camp All-American is still a self supporting ministry of Perimeter Church it's growth has enabled it to self support the administrative and programming cost without the help of individual donors. However, the vision and value of providing children in need a safe and exciting summer experience is still a legacy we protect intensely.

It is our goal each year to protect and give away 10% of our weeks to families in need. This year our goal is to scholarship 900 weeks of camp. This is a huge goal and we need your help. 900 weeks of camp will cost approximately $180,000. If you have any questions regarding our program please contact Jay Martin at Jaym@perimeter.org or 678-405-2203.

HOST FAMILIES

Host families are needed for our many counselors that come to us from out of state or out of the area. If you have a finished basement or extra bedroom/bath that you would love to share with a college-aged guy/girl for the summer, please contact Suanne Collmus at Collmus@att.net.

NEIGHBORHOOD RECRUITMENT

Host a party in your neighborhood clubhouse to tell your friends and neighbors about Camp All-American!

Hosting a party involves 3 simple things: book your clubhouse, advertise in the neighborhood, and attend the party! The parties are usually 2 hours in length and are done between January-March. Other camps and clubs will be there as well from the community to help you and your neighbors figure out what your kids will be doing this summer.

If interested, please contact Carolyn Case for more information.
