1st thru 3rd Grade Day Camp is all about new experiences - sports, The Big Game, stepping out in to the zero entry pool, and being introduced to the ropes course will be an adventure like no other!

4th & 5th Grade Day Camp is full throttle! These campers step up to new levels of adventure, challenge, and sports skills. Of Course, they'll also participate in the famous Alpha and Omega Competition.

All Day Campers get to choose one of our 14 specialties to focus on and will receive specialized coaching in that area throughout their week at Camp All-American.

Zero Entry Pool: 1st-3rd graders are going to love this! Exploring this pool will be an adventure for sure! From the moment they enter the water, they'll be overwhelmed with all there is to do. They'll be surrounded with water jets, toys, and plenty of opportunity to create their own wet and wacky games.

Activity Pool: Water Polo, anyone? 4th-5th grade Day Campers will be amazed at what our expanded and redesigned activity pool has to offer. We've created this pool to cater to our older campers giving them opportunities to participate in competitive water games or just chill out on the newly designed step entry area.

Day Camp Specialties

Grade 1-3Grade 4-5
Art

Campers will be exposed to and given opportunities to work with mixed media throughout the week. They will gain an appreciation for Art as part of God's creation and will be allowed to take their masterpieces home with them at the end of the week.

Baseball (Boys Only)

This is an introduction to the fundamental aspects of the game including rules and regulations. Covered skills include throwing, fielding, catching, pitching, and batting. By the end of the week, the campers will play organized games.

Basketball

Campers will be taught proper mechanics in dribbling, shooting and footwork. Drills are designed for the beginner as well as intermediate player. Team offense and defense will be taught and campers will participate in a mini-tournament at the end of the week.

Cheerleading (Girls Only)

Campers will learn motion techniques, basic partner stunt skills, jump techniques and how to incorporate it all together into one fun routine. Girls will learn several cheers and chants as well as a dance routine. Our goal is to build self-confidence and leadership skills through teamwork while putting together a short routine for the assembly on Friday.

Drama

Participants will learn about drama through a wide variety of fun, interactive, and self-expressive games with an emphasis on creativity. There will be a brief presentation at the end of each week during the Friday Assembly.

Football (Boys Only)

This program is designed to build a fundamental foundation for any boy who desires to learn more about football as well as those who desire to enhance their techniques for the fall football season. All players will be exposed to the most current teaching focusing on the techniques of speed and agility and the fundamentals of blocking, tackling, passing, running, and catching. Each player will be given an opportunity to use these newly learned skills in team drills and games. This specialty is not a contact form of football. All games and drills with be played with flags and/or "dummies".

Golf ($30 Additional Fee)

Campers will learn basic golf fundamentals, drills, and have some short game practice. Each camper will also play 9 holes on a par 3 golf course during the week. Learning golf is a great reflection of life-discipline, patience, and self-confidence.

Karate

Campers will learn the basic beginner techniques of karate. This includes the difference between discipline and self-discipline, how to focus and concentrate, and how to be humble. Some techniques will include front and side stances, front kick, back kick, side kick, and a Stranger Danger class!

Ropes Course

For 1st-3rd graders, the week will begin with several low element activities as well as group initiatives designed to challenge campers and help them learn to work with team mates. All campers will have the opportunity to conquer the Rock Wall and participate in at least two additional "high elements" during the week. 4th and 5th graders Each camper will participate in both low and high ropes course elements designed to help campers move outside of their "comfort zones". All campers will have the opportunity to conquer the Rock Wall, ride the 700 ft. Zip lines, and experience the thrill of the Giant Swing! Camp All-American is a member of ACCT (Association for Challenge Course Technology) and meets all recommended standards.

Sampler

Campers will be exposed briefly to a different specialty each session. Campers will get more insight into some specialties and perhaps spark their interest in a new activity or sport. These campers will have the opportunity to participate in a wide variety of activities.

Soccer

Our focus is for campers to develop individual technique and a love for the game. We teach the fundamentals of soccer through fun and entertaining games that will enhance a player's skill development as he/she learns the importance of teamwork.

Tennis (New!)

Campers will receive an introduction into the fundamentals of tennis. They will learn the basic rules and terminology of the sport along with valuable instruction and drill practice in each element of the game. Campers will receive instruction in all strokes and match play culminating with doubles play by the end of the week.

Tumbling

Campers will be introduced to and encouraged to progress on basic skills including rolls, cartwheels, handstands, and back bends. They will work on balance, coordination, and body awareness while having fun learning skills on balance beam. Skills will be broken down into small parts so that each child can achieve success at his/her own skill level as he/she works independently with qualified hands-on coaching from counselors.

Wilderness

If you have a love for the outdoors, this specialty is for you. 1st-3rd grade campers will participate in canoeing, archery, climbing, and learning basic hiking and camping skills. Participants will learn everything from picking out a good campsite to basic land navigation. For 4th and 5th grade campers, the week includes canoeing, archery, basic orienteering, GPS orienteering, mountain biking, climbing, and rappelling. There is no outdoor experience necessary, just come prepared to learn about the great outdoors and be exposed to each of the activities listed above.

Day Camp Details

Kids at Day Camp

Registration: Register online at www.perimeter.org/camp beginning Monday, February 4, 2008. An instant confirmation will be sent to you by email following the completion of your registration. Online registration payments can be made using Visa, MasterCard, Discover or a checking account. If you do not have internet access you may visit our offices Monday through Friday between 8:30 am-4:30 pm to use our registration terminal. Unfortunately, we are unable to accept registrations over the phone or by fax.

Tuition Includes: One T-shirt per camper for the summer, lunch on Fridays, and a group photo each week.

Clothing: Campers should come ready to play hard, have fun, and get dirty! No sandals or heelys, please. Each day they will need a bathing suit, towel and sunscreen. Make sure that your camper?s name is on everything he or she brings to camp.

Lunch: Campers bring lunch packed in an insulated lunch box with an ice pack Monday through Thursday. Friday is pizza day! Tuition includes 2 slices and a drink. Campers must have a refillable water bottle every day. Camp All-American strictly enforces a no-nut policy for the safety of our campers with allergies.

Extended Hours: Regular camp hours are 9:00 am-4:00 pm. For an additional fee parents can drop campers off as early as 7:00 am and pick up as late as 6:00 pm. Early care may be added for a charge of $20 per week per child. Late care may be added for a charge of $30 per week per child. If early and late care are needed (Camp Plus), both may be added for $40 per week per child. Parents late picking up campers will be charged $10 per child for each additional 15 minutes after 6:00pm.

Cancellation Policy: Cancellation requests must be made in writing 30 days prior to your camper?s scheduled camp date. If a cancellation is requested after the 30 day deadline, a physician?s office receipt and note must be submitted indicating the child is unable to attend, or there must have been a death in the immediate family. The deadline for a cancellation of this nature is noon on the Friday prior to the start date of camp. A $25 fee per week per child applies to all cancellations.

Change Requests: All changes must be requested in writing (via letter or email only) 2 weeks prior to the start date of camp. This includes changes of specialty for Day Campers or change of dates attending. All changes requested prior to April 1, 2008 will be made depending on availability at no charge. All changes requested after April 1 will be made if available for a charge of $25.

Financial Assistance: Financial assistance is available for families who cannot afford camp on their own. Applications for financial assistance and detailed instructions are available online at www.perimeter.org/camp or by calling 678-405-2266.

Scholarship Donations: 9 out of every 10 recipients of financial assistance at Camp All-American come from single parent families. These children are able to experience Camp All-American each summer because of contributions made throughout the year by individual families. If you feel led to give, please indicate the amount when registering. Any amount is appreciated. A gift of $239 will provide one full week of camp plus early and late care for one child this summer.
